Norfolk Oak manufacture and stock a huge range of solid hardwood stair parts.  From a single stair spindle to a complete staircase, we have the flexibility and experience to satisfy every need, from the specifying Architect to the self builder. 

Working mostly with the finest American White Oak, American Black Walnut and American Black Cherry, our solid stair parts are exceptional.  Our standard spindles are 45 mm for example, box newels 90 mm.  Each piece is individually sanded to give a fabulous finish.  Our handrails are some of the finest available today, in a range of different styles.

Norfolk Oak are pioneers in staircase manufacturing, for example the ‘elegant rise’ spindle installation.  Instead of keeping groups of spindles on one step all the same height, the spindles are made with longer squares so they can be cut to match the rise for each individual spindle.  The effects are stunning.  Not forgetting the sheer beauty of the timber itself.  No amount of clever turning or detail can ever outshine the elegance of furniture grade timber.

If required, we can design and manufacture an entire staircase, regardless of complexity, and then install it.  We are happy to do as much or as little as our clients require.
